Central Window Systems is thrilled to welcome Karl to the team as our newest member, bringing with him an impressive wealth of experience in the window and glazing industry. With over 30 years of expertise, Karl has built a strong reputation for his dedication, knowledge, and passion for customer service. His diverse career journey has equipped him with the skills and insight to make a significant impact at Central Window Systems.
Karl’s career in the window industry began back in 1994 when he started working in technical design and customer service in the double glazing industry within the West Midlands. There, he was responsible for designing glass layouts for conservatory roofs and Georgian bar/lead designs.
In 2001, Karl marked the beginning of his sales career. Over the next two years, Karl honed his skills in calls and business development, building a strong foundation in sales. His ability to adapt and learn quickly saw him rise to the position of external sales manager, a role he thrived in for many years.
Karl’s next move in 2004 was a pivotal moment in the double glazing industry, as the release of the Part L document required all glass units to achieve a U-value of 1.2 or better. His expertise helped customers discover the importance of the new Part L document, making him a monumental asset to increasing sales.
In 2008, Karl’s career took another exciting turn as he immersed himself in the world of composite doors, an area he had little experience in at the time. But as he worked with the product, he quickly became comfortable with them in the same vein as conservatories, windows, and glazed doors.
It was during this time that Karl first encountered Gary and Martyn from Central Window Systems, who became valued customers and, over time, close friends. Karl was always impressed by their honesty, enthusiasm, and dedication to providing the best service and products to their customers.
In February 2025, Karl officially joined Central Window Systems, and he couldn’t be more excited. With his extensive experience in sales, customer relations, and product knowledge, Karl is poised to play a key role in helping Central Window Systems continue its growth and success. He is eager to demonstrate to installers how Central can support and grow their businesses.
